new AA logo3AAC 2016 Logo_RGB 72We would like to invite you to the 5th Aquaponics Association Industry Conference.

We have an AWESOME activity now confirmed for Friday! Conference attendees will be able to get a special, private tour of the spectacular production facility at Sustainible Harvesters in Hockley, TX. They are currently producing 3,000+ heads of lettuce per week, and this is going to be a great opportunity to see an amazing operation up close and personal.

But, this gets even better — the Aquaponics Association has negotiated this special tour such that there is NO ADDITIONAL COST to attendees! Simply email the Coordinator at events@aquaponicsassociation.org and tell is that you want to go (actually you need to tell us the names of who is going… 🙂 ), and then show up Friday morning ready for a great trip!

We are planning to leave the hotel on Friday (11/11) morning at 9am. Please be ready to load up no later than 8:45am. We will drive from the hotel to the farm for our tour. We will have lunch onsite after the tour (please let me know if you are vegetarian or have other requirements), and then return to the hotel. The plan is to return to the hotel at approximately 3:30pm.

From 4:00 – 5:30pm at the hotel will be an interactive workshop hosted by Adam Cohen (Green Phoenix Farms) and Rob Nash (Hannaleigh Farms / Austin Aquaponics) on what it take to develop the business side of an Aquaponic Farm. Specifically the discussion will focus on how to determine market availability, profit potential, and niche value. But, questions will be taken from those present and will be answered in detail.

Finally, the Friday evening, the Aquaponics Association would like to invite you to a social gathering in the conference area from 6:00 – 8:00pm. We will have a cash bar onsite, and we look forward to meeting each of you to learn more about what you are doing with Aquaponics and how you plan to grow in the future.

I can’t believe that this event is only three days away!!!! I look forward to seeing everyone on Friday!
